4 Things to Do in Arlington This Weekend (Plus One for Next)

Weekend & Community Events Arlington, TX

This Saturday is one of the busiest days downtown has seen all year, and Sunday brings lobster rolls with your craft beer. Here is where to be in Arlington over the next two weeks.

Downtown Arlington Classic Car Show

More than 200 classic and antique cars roll into downtown for one of the biggest days on the Arlington calendar. Expect live music, local food vendors, a kids area, the Downtown Farmers Market, and Knapp Heritage Park open with shaded picnic spots. Stick around afterward and hop between downtown’s bars, breweries, and restaurants. With around 5,000 people expected, get there early for easy parking.

ABBA Tribute Night at Levitt Pavilion Arlington

A full night of free music under the stars. The evening kicks off with the Levitt Youth Spotlight at 7:10, followed by Housequake, Texas’s premier Prince tribute band, at 7:30. Headliner Waterloo, a Dallas-based ABBA tribute band featured on Fox 4, takes the stage at 8:30 for two hours of Mamma Mia sing-alongs. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and grab dinner from the food trucks on site.

Cousins Maine Lobster Food Truck

The Cousins Maine Lobster truck parks at Division Brewing for the day, pairing Maine lobster rolls, lobster tacos, lobster grilled cheese, and whoopie pies with local craft beer. It is cashless, so bring a card, and the CML app lets you order ahead to skip the line. An easy Sunday afternoon that tastes a lot better than your couch.

Arlington Gem and Mineral Club Sale

The club’s biannual sale is a treasure hunt in a parking lot. Shop slabs, cabochons, rough stone, jewelry, and lapidary tools, or bring your own finds and swap with fellow rockhounds. Whether you are a serious collector or just want something different for the grandkids, you will walk away with a story. Mark the calendar now, this one only happens twice a year.

“That is your lineup. Free cars, free concerts, lobster with beer, and rocks worth real money. See you out there, Arlington.”
